Mission Statement

The mission of the Digital Design Academy is to prepare students for the employment in the Digital Design Industry through instruction that focuses on graphic design, app and web prototyping, web development and design and by providing students the opportunity to work with industry professionals, industry leading software, and other technologies related to the field.


The academy is in partnership with DECA, the largest business student organization in the world. DECA gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, establish occupational goals, and compete against other students at local, state, and national levels. DECA is an International association of high school and college students and teachers of marketing, management  and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality, and marketing sales and service. The organization prepares leaders and entrepreneurs for careers and education in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and other business areas.

Multimedia Communications Academy


What is the Multimedia Communications Academy?

The Multimedia Communications Academy at Escambia High School will provide students the opportunity to explore fields of web design, television production and digital design. Through hands-on experiences and unique field-trip opportunities, students will gain real-world skills as they prepare for college and careers. 

Students will earn Adobe industry certifications in:

Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Animate, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
